Welcome to Of Dollars And Data!
Hello there, I’m Nick Maggiulli (pronounced Ma-Julie), the creator of Of Dollars And Data and the Chief Operating Officer at Ritholtz.
I started Of Dollars And Data as a New Year’s Resolution while I was living in Boston at the beginning of 2017. At the time, I had a great job in litigation consulting, but my heart wasn’t in it. What I really loved was personal finance and investing. So, I made a promise that I would publish one blog post a week until I figured out what to do with my career.
Over the course of the next year, a whole new world opened up for me. I quickly found myself meeting some of the most incredible people in the financial industry both on Twitter and in person. Through this process, I landed a role at Ritholtz, moved to New York City, and haven’t looked back.
Since then I have published over 500,000 words online and have seen my work featured in:
and many others. After blogging for 5 years I published Just Keep Buying in April 2022, which has now sold over 400,000 copies worldwide. A few years later I published The Wealth Ladder, which became a NY Times Bestseller.
Lastly, I’ve also spoken at the following conferences:
- FutureProof (2022, 2023, 2024)
- Bogleheads (2022)
- FinTwit Summit (2022)

And much, much more.
